SpiceJet Evacuation Flight From Budapest Arrives With 162 Indian Nationals; Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri Also travels Onboard The Special Flight

The Government of India (GoI) initiated major evacuation efforts under ‘Operation Ganga’ to bring back Indian nationals stranded in war-torn Ukraine. SpiceJet, an Indian airline company headquartered in Gurgaon, Haryana is part of these efforts and has evacuated 162 Indian nationals.

The company spokesperson issued a press statement on the ongoing rescue efforts undertaken by the airlines: “A SpiceJet special evacuation flight from Budapest arrived at Delhi’s IGI airport with 162 Indian nationals accompanied by Hon’ble Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs & Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Hardeep Singh Puri at 10.35 am. SpiceJet has been operating evacuation flights to Romania, Slovakia and Hungary under ‘Operation Ganga’ since 28th February, 2022.”
