Vikram Dev Dutt was appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of Air India Limited by the Ministry of Civil Aviation. The rank and pay of the appointment will be equivalent to that of an Additional Secretary.
Dutt is a 1993-batch IAS officer of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territory cadre. Air India’s takeover by Tata Group is delayed till January due to the procedures’ completion taking longer than expected.
