India’s DGCA Greenlights ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East For Falcon 6X Heavy Maintenance, Marking A Major Milestone!

Jaswant Singh

Marking a significant advancement in aviation maintenance capabilities, ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, has received certification from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to perform heavy maintenance checks on Dassault Falcon 6X aircraft registered in India. This milestone comes just as India prepares to welcome its first Falcon 6X later this month, with a second aircraft slated for delivery before year-end.

A New Era for Falcon 6X Maintenance in India

The Falcon 6X is rapidly becoming a favoured choice among Indian business jet operators, thanks to its long-range capability, impressive 5,500 nautical mile (10,186 km) nonstop reach, and a spacious ultra-large cabin designed for maximum comfort. Its ability to operate on short runways makes it particularly versatile for India’s diverse airports, enabling direct flights from Mumbai to key destinations across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

With the DGCA nod, ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East is now authorised to undertake comprehensive heavy maintenance activities—including critical 36-month checks—on Indian-registered Falcon 6X jets at its state-of-the-art facility located at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport. This bolsters support for operators seeking reliable, factory-backed service close to the Indian subcontinent.

Global Certifications Solidify ExecuJet’s Market Leadership

In addition to the DGCA approval, ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East holds certifications from major regulatory bodies, including the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the United Arab Emirates’ General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA). It is also progressing toward approvals from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA).

Nick Weber, Regional Vice President for the Middle East at ExecuJet MRO Services, emphasized the importance of the certification:

“We are delighted to extend our support for Falcon 6X operators in India. These additional certifications strengthen our position as a leading MRO centre in the region.” He further noted, “As a Dassault factory-owned MRO facility, we can perform maintenance under manufacturer warranty, providing exceptional peace of mind to our customers.”

India is a key market for ExecuJet, accounting for roughly five percent of its global business—a figure set to grow alongside the expanding presence of business jets in the region.

Expanding Maintenance Services for Indian-Registered Falcons

Responding to increasing demand, ExecuJet recently secured DGCA approval to conduct heavy maintenance 3C inspections on additional Dassault Falcon models—including the Falcon 2000, 900, 7X, and 8X—registered in India. This broader service range underscores the company’s commitment to servicing the fast-growing Indian business aviation market.

According to Asian Sky data, India stands as Asia Pacific’s fastest-growing and third-largest business jet market, with 168 aircraft reported at the end of 2024. ExecuJet’s expanded capabilities position it to meet the evolving needs of this dynamic market.

World-Class Facility and Expertise

ExecuJet MRO Services’ facility at Al Maktoum International spans an impressive 15,500 m², equipped with cutting-edge tools designed to handle complex maintenance, refurbishment, and avionics upgrades. Staffed by internationally certified engineers trained directly by Dassault and other major original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the center offers comprehensive services including airframe and component maintenance, engine support, cabin refurbishments, and satellite communications installations.

Looking Ahead

As India’s Falcon 6X fleet grows, the ability to perform heavy maintenance locally—and under warranty—will be a game changer for operators seeking efficient, reliable support in the region. ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East stands ready to deliver, underpinned by robust certifications and decades of expertise.

This certification marks a new chapter for business aviation maintenance in India, demonstrating ExecuJet’s unwavering commitment to excellence and customer support in the ultra-large cabin business jet segment.
