The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), a division of the Department of Space, has partnered with Garuda Aerospace, the country’s top drone manufacturer. ISRO is now in the process of acquiring Garuda Aerospace’s advanced Quadcopter drones through cooperation. The partnership between Garuda Aerospace and ISRO signifies the company’s foray into the space technology domain, paving the way for forthcoming advancements in the space industry.

Garuda Aerospace is renowned for its advanced drone technology, namely its Quadcopter drones, which are equipped with state-of-the-art machine learning and artificial intelligence capabilities. The utilization of these unmanned aerial vehicles in ISRO’s activities is anticipated to greatly improve effectiveness across diverse ISRO operations.

In 2021, ISRO started the process of evaluating Garuda Aerospace’s drones for the purpose of delivering medications and food supplies.  Furthermore, Garuda Aerospace also undertook the task of sanitizing building premises by employing the method of spraying disinfectants in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. The successful trials are crucial for Garuda Aerospace to get this order from ISRO for Quadcopter drones.

“Getting an order from the esteemed Indian Space Research Organisation marks a monumental achievement for us,” commented Agnishwar Jayaprakash, CEO and Founder of Garuda Aerospace, on this landmark. Our unwavering commitment to achieving greatness is evident in this. Drones and UAVs will be game-changers in the space industry, in our opinion.  Working with ISRO has helped establish our credibility and established us as a frontrunner in the market.

The prospect for Garuda Aerospace is greatly enhanced by the backing from the government, as seen by the acceptance of 100% Foreign Direct Investment into the space industry, he continued. In addition to providing much-needed funding, this historic decision will allow us to become the first-ever Indian drone unicorn start-up.

Garuda Aerospace drones are capable of being tailored to endure air pressure and gravity. Therefore, they may be utilized for surveying, mapping, and collecting samples.

Garuda Aerospace has achieved notable progress in the drone industry with its exceptional innovations. Trishul, the drone designed for border patrolling, was just launched. Garuda Aerospace is the inaugural drone firm in India to obtain dual permits from the DGCA. These authorizations include the production of drones in the small and medium size range, as well as training for pilots. The firm, supported by Dhoni, is preparing to become a publicly traded corporation by the end of 2024, showcasing its continuous expansion and dominance in the sector.
