Cyient, a multinational corporation providing advanced engineering and technology solutions, is declaring a strategic alliance with Deutsche Aircraft, a German-based original equipment manufacturer (OEM) situated in Weßling, near Munich. Under this agreement, the firms will work together on the intricate manufacturing design (DFM) of the rear fuselage portion for the 40-seater D328eco small turboprop aircraft.

The D328eco is an enhanced iteration of the Dornier 328 series, specifically designed for economical operation on regional routes with minimal fuel consumption. Due to the enhanced passenger capacity, the aircraft needs precise structural modifications. The D328eco is anticipated to transform regional air travel and establish itself as the standard for aviation due to its cutting-edge features, unparalleled adaptability, and operational flexibility in even the most demanding conditions, enabling the connection of regions and individuals.

In order to aid in the development of the D328eco aircraft, we are thrilled to be collaborating with Deutsche Aircraft. The agreement highlights Cyient’s dedication to providing cutting-edge technical solutions for the aerospace industry. When designing the D328eco, our knowledge of the aircraft development life cycle will be invaluable. Cyient CEO and Executive Director Karthikeyan Natarajan expressed optimism in the team’s ability to enhance aviation technology and help make this groundbreaking endeavour a success.

Deutschland Aircraft CEO Dave Jackson expressed his excitement about the partnership with Cyient. “They were contracted to design the rear fuselage section as part of our D328eco aircraft development programme in large part due to their extensive background in the aerospace and defence industry.”

“This agreement represents a strong commitment to India,” said Maximilian Fahr, Deutsche Aircraft’s VP of supply chain, who was similarly enthusiastic about the company’s collaboration with Cyient. By teaming up with industry heavyweight Cyient, Deutsche Aircraft will be able to push the D328eco’s development to the next level in a highly competitive market.
