Business Aviation Asia Forum & Expo To Launch In March 2025

By Staff Correspondent

The Business Aviation Asia Forum and Expo (BAAFEx) is set to make its debut from March 4 to 6, 2025, at the Changi Exhibition Centre in Singapore. Organized by Experia Events—the same entity behind the Singapore Airshow—BAAFEx will be the only international exhibition in the Asia-Pacific region dedicated solely to the burgeoning business aviation industry. This biennial event comes at a crucial time, reflecting the rapid growth of business aviation in Asia, particularly within Southeast Asia, which necessitates a dedicated platform for industry stakeholders.

Recent research by Asian Sky Group indicates that the Asia-Pacific region hosted approximately 1,200 business jets as of the end of 2023, positioning it as the third largest market for business jets globally, after North America and Europe. This growth highlights not only the increasing demand for business aviation services but also the necessity for a focused event that brings together various facets of the industry.

Singapore’s strategic location as a prominent business hub, coupled with its robust connectivity to both regional and global markets, makes it an ideal host for BAAFEx. The city’s appeal is underscored by WingX Advance data, which reports that business aircraft departures from Singapore were 28 percent higher in the past year compared to 2019 levels.

Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director of Experia Events, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming expo, stating, “We are thrilled to launch BAAFEx, an event that will not only showcase the latest advancements in business aviation and general aviation but also provide a platform for industry leaders to collaborate and drive the future of general aviation and business aviation.” The event is poised to feature a comprehensive exhibition and an industry forum that will engage participants across the entire business and general aviation ecosystem.

Exhibitors will include a range of entities such as TAG Aviation, MedAire, and Viasat, providing a rich tapestry of services and products. Notably, the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority will also participate, enhancing the regulatory perspective amidst the providers of operational services. Additionally, the Asian Business Aviation Association (AsBAA) will co-host the Business Aviation Forum, spotlighting industry insights and navigating contemporary issues.

AsBAA Chairwoman Jenny Lau emphasized the significance of the event, noting, “We anticipate that this expo will serve as an exceptional opportunity to unite our business aviation and general aviation (BA/GA) community.” The forum will facilitate discussions on the latest trends, challenges, and opportunities in the sector, thereby fostering an environment conducive to networking and collaboration among buyers, operators, and suppliers.

The Business Aviation Asia Forum and Expo shall represent a pivotal development in the landscape of business aviation in the Asia-Pacific region. With Experia Events spearheading the initiative, it promises not only to support existing industry trajectories but also to ignite new partnerships and innovations. The event will undoubtedly serve as a landmark occasion for stakeholders aiming to shape the future of aviation in Asia.
