Informa Markets Asia, the leading events and exhibitions firm, has announced a novel, innovative business event designed to unite the transport and logistics professionals from the aviation, shipping, rail, and road sectors.
Dubbed ‘Super Terminal Expo’, the conference, set to premiere in Hong Kong in November 2024, will offer a fertile ground for networking, a series of educational seminars, and insights into emerging trends and technologies shaping the cargo and passenger terminals of the future.
Michael Duck, Informa Markets’ Executive Vice President of Commercial Development, declared the expo’s purpose during a press conference held at the Paris Air Show. According to him, Super Terminal Expo is geared towards fostering thought exchanges and best practices, furthering growth in these increasingly interconnected sectors.
Duck emphasised, “Super Terminal Expo will be a platform for enterprises to highlight their latest offerings, expand their networks, and learn from industry leaders.” He further noted that the Asia-Pacific region stands as the world’s most extensive logistics and passenger transport market, offering abundant opportunities for businesses to capitalise on the burgeoning demand for logistics and passenger transportation services.
The AsiaWorld-Expo, part of the prestigious Hong Kong Airport City development, has been selected as the venue for the 2024 Super Terminal Expo. The event is being strategically supported by the Airport Authority of Hong Kong.
The official media coverage will be provided by Aviation Week Network, a subsidiary of Informa. Paul Burton, Managing Director, APAC at Aviation Week Network, expressed assurance that the expo would initiate new alliances, collaborations, and transformative advances within the industry.
Burton said, “Hong Kong is a natural epicentre for such events. The Airport City model is world-class, and Aviation Week Network is delighted to be associated with it.”
The event’s schedule will include an exhibition area, various seminars, panel discussions, and keynote speeches focusing on trends, technologies, and best practices in the field of cargo and passenger terminals.
