Noida International Airport Partners with SITA For Enhanced Efficiency & Collaborative Decision-Making

By Staff Correspondent

Noida International Airport (NIA) recently announced its partnership with SITA, selecting the renowned Airport Management System (AMS) to enhance operational efficiency and promote collaborative decision-making. With this strategic alliance, NIA aims to streamline its operations, provide real-time transparency of airport activities, and foster effective collaboration with its airport partners.

Adopting SITA’s AMS aligns with NIA’s integrated approach to airport operations, focusing on maximising efficiency to better serve passengers and airlines. By leveraging the system’s capabilities, NIA endeavours to offer a premium passenger experience complemented by real-time information sharing through the SITA Information Display System.

In addition, SITA’s suite of systems will aid in managing gate and counter allocations, boarding bridges, airfield traffic flows, and flight information displays for passengers. The reliable flight information and planning capabilities SITA offers will empower NIA to review performance, devise strategies for operational efficiency improvements, and gather valuable statistics on resource utilisation.

Under this partnership, SITA will provide NIA with a tailored solution that ensures flexibility and transparency for all airport partners, facilitating seamless and efficient operations. The primary objective of this collaboration is to establish a platform for collaborative decision-making, a crucial element in achieving operational efficiencies at NIA.

Expressing his satisfaction with the partnership, Christoph Schnellmann, Chief Executive Officer of NIA, expressed his delight in collaborating with SITA for the Airport Management System. He commended SITA for its proven track record of delivering solutions that cater to India’s unique requirements. Schnellmann voiced his confidence that SITA’s expertise and innovative technologies will enable efficient management of airport resources, ensuring a seamless travel experience for passengers.

Sumesh Patel, President of Asia Pacific at SITA, expressed pride in being chosen as the AMS provider for NIA, marking SITA’s inaugural greenfield deployment in the Indian Subcontinent (ISC) region. Acknowledging the cautious approach greenfield airports adopt in selecting their AMS partners, Patel highlighted the significance of this achievement for SITA.

He emphasised that NIA, equipped with over 20 customised integrations, will join the ranks of highly technologically efficient airports. Furthermore, NIA will benefit from SITA’s single-window solution and managed service expertise, including round-the-clock onsite support.

In close collaboration with Noida International Airport, SITA aims to deliver a future-ready solution that offers flexibility and agility to meet evolving needs.
